Former Pro Bowl WR details why he’d unretire to join Aaron Rodgers, Jets

Brandon Marshall hasn’t played a down of football since Oct. 14, 2018, but the six-time Pro Bowl receiver is possibly ready to end his retirement if it means getting to play with Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.

On a recent episode of his “I Am Athlete” podcast, Marshall stated he would come out of retirement if offered an opportunity to join Rodgers in New York, with the only caveat being he would switch from receiver to tight end.

"Here's why I'll be ready if I get the call to come back as a New York Jet at tight end, it’s because we're going to win a Super Bowl,” Marshall said. "…I'm going to be able to contribute at a high level, and this is what I'm going to be able to give you: 45 catches throughout the year, 20 to 30 plays a game, and I'm going to give you eight touchdowns."

Marshall, who put on a No. 15 Jets jersey as he made his case for usurping C.J. Uzomah as New York’s starting tight end, acknowledged that he can’t move like he used to during his days as a two-time All-Pro wideout.
