Juventus isn’t the only side pursuing Mason Greenwood and are unlikely to emerge victorious should a bidding war break out. Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are also after the Manchester United loanee.

Getafe will try to get him back for another temporary spell. He’d have to agree to a new contract with the Red Devils first since his current one lasts only until 2025. Instead, the Premier League giants plan to cash in fully on him following his bounce-back campaign.

Juventus would be in the race if Greenwood departed for a reasonable feed and didn’t ask for more than €4M wages, Calciomercato reports. That’s not a very likely scenario considering the interest he’s generating.

According to El Gol Digital, Atletico Madrid are in touch with Manchester United. They are ready to offer Joao Felix to acquire the English attacker. He’s comfortable in the Spanish capital and wouldn’t mind staying there.

Getafe president Angel Torres dished on the forward to Radio Marca as of late.

“Nobody from the Colchoneros asked me about him. The only team that did is Barcelona, but they need to sell before buying. That’s the problem of La Liga. If it was up to his parents and us, he’d spend another year here. Instead, Manchester United want to sell him for a good offer. We’ll see.”

Our Take on Juventus and Greenwood

It’s always challenging for Serie A sides to buy from the Premier League, even if this is a very particular situation. He might be a real option only through a trade.
